Today marked quite a milestone for the Morris Familia. Today was Myla’s first communion and it was an all Spanish ceremony! The weather was perfect as was the opportunity to see our daughter take such a big step in her life. Ana and I are beaming with pride. What an amazing day for us as parents, and to think, in two years it will be Phia’s turn….!

Today, was not only Mother’s day. “Happy Mother’s to the mom’s out there”.  It was also Jaime’s 35th Birthday, “Happy Birthday Jaime. We met up at Guapos to do the Mexican food thing and celebrate. Other than the major wait to get in, it was a good time.

Yesterday we went to visit Jamie and Marie for lunch and walked to over to Strathmore, and were chased by bugs all the way there and back, it was too funny…..

Amazing what you can find right in your backyard.  Periodically I catch a glimpse of a Hawk that lives somewhere in our neighborhood. Today I happen to look out in the backyard and caught it stalking some other birds for lunch.

Well, today is Easter Sunday and the weekend has been filled with Easter egg hunts for Myla and Phia. 4 different easter egg hunts in all, including a surprise hunt at our house compliments of Jaime and Marie. Well, today is Easter Sunday and the weekend has been filled with Easter egg hunts for Myla and Phia. 4 different easter egg hunts in all, including a surprise hunt at our house compliments of Jaime and Marie. Thanks guys. Also I have to give props to Myla although her eyes were driving her crazy from the pollen. She just hung and didn’t complain much at all. The Easter Bunny has been very very busy in Maryland.

Caught this bird hanging out on our shrubs in the front yard. Its pretty interesting what you can find right in your own backyard with a little patience.

So tonight after Ana and I watched War Horse (long but not bad) and before we were about to go to bed, I noticed that it was pretty bright out and looked out to see a very clear sky, but even more amazing was being able to see the moon so clearly. So I grabbed [...]]]>

So tonight after Ana and I watched War Horse (long but not bad) and before we were about to go to bed, I noticed that it was pretty bright out and looked out to see a very clear sky, but even more amazing was being able to see the moon so clearly. So I grabbed my camera to get this shot. Funny thing is that it is not as easy as you think to get a good crisp shot of the moon at night. I definitely had to underexpose the shot to get the detail. Going by what the camera metering system says just blows out the moon into a big white circle.

So after taking a shot at my house, I walked down to the park to meet up with Ana and the girls and saw this view as I peered up the hill looking into the sky. I couldn’t resist catching another shot of the sky. The new filter for my wide angle is working perfectly. [...]]]>

Early morning shot down at my favorite spot, Black Hills. I never tire of finding spots to shoot from. I am still playing with HDR on this shot. Boy was it cold this morning.
